Galloping Grace Pumpkin Patch opens today

Starting today, people can visit Galloping Grace Youth Ranch s Pumpkin Patch at the Santa Ana Star Center, the city says.

The family-friendly attraction features a corn pit, harvest maze, scarecrow dress-up, tractor races, a roping area, pumpkin bowling, duck races, giant slides, pig races, the opportunity to feed goats and pet pigs, educational animal displays and pumpkins, reads a city of Rio Rancho news release.

Visitors can select and buy a pumpkin from the onsite patch.

Nonprofit Galloping Grace Youth Ranch offers and promotes programs in which children are involved in raising animals, growing crops, exploring the outdoors and enhancing the community, according to the city.

The Pumpkin Patch will be operated in the upper west parking lot of the Star Center, 3001 Civic Center Circle.

Hours are Tuesday-Sunday, 9 a.m. to p.m.; open Monday, Oct. 26, from 9 a.m. to p.m.; and closing at noon on Oct. 31 subject to pumpkin availability.

There is no admission fee. All ages are welcome.
