Baldur s Gate II Official Patches

These are the official English for

UK and North America and European for any non-English version

of the game patches. They fix a myriad bugs, limit the monk

class, repair the Bag of Holding etc. You can read the whole

list of patch fixes here.

There is also a Japanese

patch 12MB and an Italian

TLK update 6.3MB.

Throne of Bhaal BETA Patch 26499

This BETA patch is being provided

to fix a particular issue with the Throne of Bhaal 26498 patch

above. If you are having a problem with save and load times

noticeably increasing, the new Throne of Bhaal 26499 BETA

patch has been found to resolve the problem. The patch is

applicable to the English, German, French, Italian, and Spanish

versions of Throne of Bhaal.

Note: Please keep in mind that

this patch has received limited testing and so is marked as

BETA. You should only install this if you are having very

slow save and load times in Throne of Bhaal. If you are not

experiencing these problems, do not install this. Installation

of the 26499 BETA patch must only be done after the 26498

patch is installed.

Instructions

To repair a slow saving/loading saved game, you must first

have the BETA patch installed. The patch installer copies

a new BGMain.exe into your Baldur s Gate II root directory.

Then start the game and load the affected game with the slow

loading time, and resave it the saving time will continue

to be slow at this point. The save game has now been fixed

and future saving/loading of the saved game will now take

the normal amount of time. This new BETA patched version of

Throne of Bhaal is still multiplayer compatible with the 26498

patched version of the game.

smaller one being for users with slower connections.

The Baldur s Gate II demo covers chapter

one of the game in which you must find a way out of your captor s

prison. This demo uses a complete version of the game engine

so you will be able to create your character, watch the movies,

talk with non-player characters and fight. You can import your

character and saved game into Baldur s Gate II if you decide

to purchase the game. The demo does not have multiplayer enabled.

The chat ran through a java client which wasn t all that popular

judging by the comments. Some questions posted are pretty stupid

and should ve been ignored by moderators in my opinion, but

all in all the chat was pretty interesting.

gigantic tanar ri is 18 feet tall and reptilian. Demogorgon

has two heads which bear the visages of twisted and evil baboons.

His skin is plated with snake-like scales. His body and legs

are those of a giant lizard. Rather than arms, Demogorgon has

massive tentacles. This Prince of Demons is the essence of malevolent

power and all that he beholds is destroyed.

From Interplay: This is the v26498 patch for Baldur s Gate II: Throne of Bhaal. Included in this version are new items, abilities, updated stats and several bug fixes.
